every event is a story waiting to happen-would you do it for the plot?

For The Plot NYC is a POC-led social club founded by Natalie, Jarelle, and Neya in New York City. FTP NYC is a free 21+ community founded by these AAPI women who host all types of interactive events, asking: WOULD YOU DO IT FOR THE PLOT? Built around the idea of doing it for the plot, the club brings people together through good food, unique experiences, and meaningful connections. From casual meet ups to curated outings across the city, For The Plot NYC creates fun, inclusive spaces to explore NYC and support local businesses along the way.

So: when your workout class ends with a care package assembly session, you’ve found yourself at a FTP NYC event 🤩

Our answer to "would you do it for the plot?" is yes (obviously). On a sunny Sunday afternoon in April 2026, FTP gathered to punch, kick, knee and elbow with instructor Noelle. Everyone then (very efficiently, we might add!) assembled care packages of personal hygiene products donated by those taking class for women in need. 78 packages were created and donated to Bowery Mission (just up the block from the studio).

THANK YOU!!! This was our third event working with FTP NYC and we remain feeling grateful and lucky. Check out a video recap of our first event in November 2025 here and photos from our January 2026 class together (a blizzard didn't stop anyone)!

Thank you to our generous hosts Jarelle and Neya, and thank you to Bloom, LMNT and Fur for the goodies!
