Kickboxing for a Cause: A Safe Space

On a sunny Sunday morning in June, the Hit House community met at McCarren Park in Williamsburg to collaborate with the team at A Safe Space. This donation-based kickboxing and HIIT outdoor workout class gave us a good sweat while also raising awareness and funds for A Safe Space.

A Space Space is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering, inspiring, & spreading awareness of mental health through resources such as a free therapy program, wellness retreats and events for young adults within the BIPOC community.

Donations went towards A Safe Space's upcoming wellness retreats that open opportunity for travel and free retreat experiences centered around mental health to the BIPOC community. Additionally, this class also went towards a scholarship for an attendee to join in on an upcoming retreat this summer-fall.

Missed the class but still want to donate? Donate online here.
